AGING X HRT 2.0

Updated: Jul 6

Hi everyone! I have been busy with some study activities about finding an answer to this question: Is this a better life, possible?

Actually, that has been asked for many years, centuries of history exist for humankind. Each participant, who had this question or been asked this question, tried to assess the matter in many different aspects. Also, most of them explained it from many diverse sides.

In this series, I'll try to assess the matter from a scientific aspect, and explain what is our possible solutions to achieve a better life with high quality.

Our times are very tough with pandemic diseases originating from coronavirus, monkeypox, etc; having war in each of our days, our career troubles, the stress of losing jobs, and children's necessities are very common among most of us. They increased some metabolic reactions in our body, then we feel stronger to survive. It's basic knowledge to describe the scene that we live in every day. But what about next? What happens to our body while trying to survive?

Let's have a look together.

In the last century, our ancestors had a life span, which is half of what we live in these days.

Approximately double the life expectancy of our ancestors has been made possible by developments in medical technology and public health measures.

That is the fact we live in these days. Our life span has some parts such as childhood, teenager, adult, getting old, and old. But, childhood and teenage periods are ok and I bet no one has argued with that. What about being an adult, getting older? Who decides that?

Getting older is a nightmare for most of us. And It has some clues to give some signs to us. The earliest signs of aging may come as a complete shock, plausibly. It could start with something obvious, like a wrinkle or gray hair, or it could start with something more subtle, like a persistent ache or odd fatigue. Then we can feel it as changing our daily routine has been changed, and we were not asked to change it! One of the indicators may cause us to re-evaluate our current way of life and make adjustments as needed.

The rate at which we age might be affected by various factors. Our genes are the decider for many attributes that affect our longevity. To a large extent, our skin, hair, cardiovascular system, and cognitive quality, and more... At the same time, there are some other agents that can play a role as the same environment that provides healthy nutrients also exposes us to harmful stressors and toxins.

Some of them simply can't be altered. We cannot dismiss, unfortunately. It has always been like that. But, you may be curious about how to slow down the aging process because you know that there are things you can do to improve your health over time.

Our problems are being appeared with symptoms of aging, and they are frequently first noticeable in the hands and face, inevitably! These parts of your body are typically the first to show signs of sun damage since they receive the most direct exposure.

What about hair? Although genetics play a big role in determining the severity of hair thinning, most of us will experience some thinning as we age. At the same time, graying hair and thinning hair are the most obvious and early signs of aging. When hair follicles stop producing as much melanin, the hair gradually loses its pigment and lightens, giving rise to the characteristic gray appearance.

Changes in body composition, such as a loss of lean muscle mass or an increase in belly fat, are apparent. The effects we get from working out won't be the same, even if you stick to the same routine we've always done. Yes, there are lots of U-turns, but the facts are the facts.

Also, reproductive systems are vulnerable while having age. Sometimes the signs of a changed reproductive system don't become immediately obvious. Women may first notice symptoms like vaginal dryness or pain during sexual activity. In addition, some people may experience a decline in libido. That is very common in my patients too. Also, our bone structures. We may not notice whether there is an onset of age-related osteopenia or osteoporosis may go until a fracture of the wrist or foot occurs. That's a hidden manace for most of us.

Ok, we do learn many things about getting old and its outcomes. What about the solution? Is there any medicine, or something that can stop this phase, or let's say put this period in a slowing down phase?

Being aware of the internal changes that occur with age is essential if we want to age in a way that is physically and emotionally satisfying for us.

As a person reaches middle age, subtle but noticeable shifts in their physical composition typically begin to take place. Our workouts may be more challenging, or we may have found that it takes us longer to feel back to normal following physical activity.

Sometimes there might not be a U-turn. Abdominal fat may transfer to other areas or you may lose muscle mass over time. That would not be good after spending lots of time and effort. The effects you get from working out won't be the same, even if you stick to the same routine you've always done.

What about our hormones?

Hormones' Functions in Aging Processes

Reducing or eliminating these harmful behaviors (tobacco, alcohol) and increasing our focus on healthy diet and exercise routines are two of the most crucial things we can do to maintain our bodies as we age. Routines are very crucial for our body. We should define what we need as daily routines. Also, there is another title, hormones.

If we are concerned with ways to slow the aging process, we should think about the part hormones play in our life. You can do a lot more to improve our health in the long run. Hormonal fluctuations are prevalent during the middle years of life, and then they gradually reduce afterward. Women's hormone levels fluctuate during perimenopause before plummeting dramatically after menopause.

Ok, then. So what should we do?

Methods for Postponing Aging with HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy)

Everyone, no matter how well they take care of themselves, will eventually feel the effects of aging. We are together in this matter too. I always tell my patients that I'm with them and my goal is to help them look and feel their best while reversing the potentially devastating effects of your hormonal imbalance.

Researchers showed that postmenopausal women who took hormone replacement therapy had a 2.6% greater chance of living after five years compared to women who did not take the therapy.

With the help of hormone replacement therapy, we may be able to live longer and reverse some of the negative effects of aging on our bodies.

Treatment with estrogen is linked to younger-looking skin. Treatment with synthetic testosterone is useful for both sexes since it speeds up the body's cellular energy production. As a result, your body composition improves and you delay some of the more serious effects of aging.

Hormone replacement therapy may play a significant role in preserving men's and women's sexual health into old age.

Many variables at work during the aging process that everyone has a unique experience. I do advise my patients to have personalized treatment plans that involve dietary and activity changes specifically for each patient. Tailored plans are very useful for my every patient's journey and I'm very happy when they achieve what they seek.

This is a holistic treatment, approach, and methodology for each of us. We should assess what we have, we should analyze what we need and what we can, then we can take action to achieve what is a quality way of life together.

I have been preparing for my dear patients something new, something special such as a holistic, comprehensive, personalized pathway that includes many diverse sections together. That is going to be very useful and take you to an excellent quality level of life. I'll explain everything soon in detail.

Keep in touch.

Do not Forget! You are not alone, I am here to support you.
